Never Have I Ever

The Game

Each player will be given 3 colored cards to hold.

Green (Done).

Red (Not Done).

Blue (Want to Do asap, have never done before).

How to Play:

Take Turns by giving a statement, and putting your color of the card (ace down) in front of you. 

Tell everyone:  "Never Have I Ever..." statement (e.g., "Never have I ever gotten a tattoo").

Secret Votes: Other players choose a color card privately (Green/Red/Blue) and place it face down.

Reveal & React: Now say, "Show your cards!" and everyone flips their choice over at the same time.

Green = have done it!" (Must share a detail!)

Red = I haven’t done it.

Blue = I want to do it! (Optional: Explain why.)

Next player: The player to the left goes next.

Why Secret Voting:

Encourages Honesty & Reduces Shame

• Players might hesitate to admit embarrassing truths (Green) or wild desires (Blue) publicly. Secret votes let them answer truthfully without fear of judgment. (If you choose to play a mixed anonymous game)
• Example: Someone might admit they "have skinny-dipped" (Green) only if it’s anonymous.

Adds Suspense & Surprise

• The dramatic reveal creates excitement - will the majority be Red, or will someone shock everyone with a Green or Blue?
• Example: "Never have I ever... cheated on a test." The reveal could expose a surprising hypocrite!

Strategic Bluffing & Mind Games

• Players might lie (e.g., pick Red when they’ve done it) to avoid sharing a story—until someone calls them out!
• Example: If only one person picks Green, others might doubt them: "No way YOU’VE gone bungee jumping!"

Peer Pressure & Dares Become Fun

• If someone is the only Red in a group of Greens/Blues, they become the target for playful teasing or dares ("You’ve NEVER kissed a stranger? Do it tonight!").
• Secret voting makes this risk unpredictable.

Bucket List Alliance (Blue Cards)

• Players can secretly bond over shared desires (Blue). If two people both want to "go to a nude beach," they might team up to make it happen!

How It Enhances Gameplay:

• Social Deduction Element: Like Werewolf or Secret Hitler, players try to guess others' secrets based on reactions.
• Risk vs. Reward: Do you admit you’ve done something wild (Green) for points, or play it safe (Red)?
• Dynamic Outcomes: Every round can shift from funny confessions to deep revelations based on hidden votes.

Example Scenario:

• Statement: "Never have I ever... had a one-night stand."
• Secret Votes:

2 Greens ("Ohhh, spill the tea!")

3 Reds ("Wow, really?!")

1 Blue ("I kinda want to try it...")

• Result: The Greens get interrogated, the Blue player gets teased, and the Reds are either praised or dared.

Game Variations

Anonymous Chaos Mode

All players vote after "Never Have I Ever...",

Then they shuffle all the answers together.

Then reveal all the cards without knowing who chose what, sparking wild guesses and denials. After reactions, players can optionally claim their vote for bonus drama, or leave it a mystery! 🔥

Most Unique Answer Challenge

After reveals, the asker picks the most surprising Green/Blue response (e.g., "Wait, YOU have a tattoo? Show us!"). That player earns a point.

Peer Pressure Mode

If only one person holds up, Red, others can tease them ("You’ve NEVER prank-called someone? Do it now!"). Playful dares encouraged!

Bucket List Builder

Focus on Blue cards only: Players suggest wild "Never Have I Ever..." prompts (e.g., "...been on a podcast"). If multiple players choose Blue, they team up to plan how to make it happen!

Confession Roulette

Before voting, ask how many Greens/Blues will appear. If correct, they earn a point.
